College Green Dublin with the addition of the new Luas line is a busy thoroughfare connecting the Grafton Street, Temple Bar and O'Connell Street areas of Dublin.
Molly Malone in her new location on Suffolk Street across from O'Neills Pub.
Lough Tay or the Guinness Lake in County Wicklow. Beautiful in the summer light the dark peat colour of the water, if topped with a white sandy beach. Luggala and Djouce mountains overlooking this picture postcard scene.
Evening light in O'Connell Street featuring the magnificent architecture, statue of Jim Larkin, and the Spire as the crowds go by.
The Baily lighhouse and Howth Head. A panorama image taken just after sunset as the sky turned a deep blue as the darkness of night approached.
The Dark Hedges in Northern Ireland. A fabulous tree lined avenue made more famous as Kings Road in Game of Thrones.
Beautiful little white washed cottage at the base of Carrawaystick mountain. The river that runs rright by the property in fact over its driveway is the perfect foreground with great reflections on a sunny day.
The iconic Ha'penny or Halfpenny bridge in Dublin City. Black and White seemed the natural choice when I created this image to really show off the bridges beautiful design.
A broody sky over Kinbane Head, in Northern Ireland. A storm was passing through this area as I set up for a sunrise shoot, this was about ten minutes before sunrise proper, and the dark moody skies and the rough seas made for a great image with the ruins of a bothy as a strong element for the composition.
Unusually red sunset was the result of the ash plume from a volcanic eruption in Iceland when all the planes acrosss Western Europe were grounded for safety precautions. The sunsets were the most vibrant I've ever seen and the perfect backdrop to silhouette the deer.

“A portrait is not made in the camera but on either side of it.”
— EDWARD STEICHEN 1879 – 1973
I am a photographer based in Dublin shooting landscapes and people. When I am not at my daytime career I spend much of my time photographing the coast, mountains and valleys of Wicklow and Dublin and beyond.
When not outdoors photographing landscapes, I am likely found in studio photographing portraits. I have extensive lighting kit on hand and variety of backdrops to help give unique head-shots, portraits, for individuals and for groups. Feel free to contact me to arrange a shoot.
As a photographer and artist I believe our senses are heightened when it comes to lighting, we tend to notice things that others may not, the dappled light on a landscape, the golden light of sunrise and sunset, back lit leaves, the shadows and highlights on a face, the subtle forms and shapes, shadows cast from a tree, the motion in water and waves, time passing. With this website I hope to share with you my view of the world.
Thanks for visiting, Jason

Dublin glittering with the lights of Christmas, the merriment of revellers heading from pub to pub, and the shuffling of feet of the last minute shoppers. A wonderful time for a night time photo walk through the main shopping and tourist streets. Jason Mac Cormac Photography.
Why would you want to shoot Weddings?
Let me tell you why I do. I personally love weddings, I guess I am a romantic at heart. It gets me every time when a couple see each other for the first time on their wedding day, everything about a wedding day is and should be a celebration of romance and love.
Dublin City. I love Dublin, and especially love photographing the many fantastic and iconic features of Ireland’s capital city. Come with me on a quick tour of the sights.
That awesome feeling you get when you see your images printed large, by large I mean HUGE !!
Following weeks of planning and communications I successfully organised and photographed a bridal photoshoot, complete with wedding dresses, beautiful models, makeup, hair and a superb manor house location at Tulfarris Hotel & Golf Resort in County Wicklow featuring dresses by Elaine Honey Designs.
Baily Lighthouse. I had an image in mind, a 5-6 shot panorama of Howth head with the rugged coastline as foreground. With no sunset i waited until the sky started to turn a deep blue as the darkness of night approached.
Colour or Mono - which do you prefer?
Had a quick recce of the Titanic building when I was in Belfast a few weeks back, didn't get to go inside and the rain outside meant I could only take a couple shots before running for cover of the the car. H&W crane can be seen in the background.
